I'll let these tears devour me before I make wishes on these eyelashes
I'll let the rain freeze my skin before the coal dust turns me black
I'll let the fire orange fingers of dead tree tips catch me
Before I wait for gorse bush roots to grow around my wrists
I'll let this train take me past the mountains to the city
Before I can remember names on monuments
Built and left to crumble in this old mine town
